Hi All Has anyone heard if Amazon Miniatures is operating? I have sent them several e-mails ,but no reply. |

I'm not sure if they are still in operation, but there is talk of selling it. |

I visited their site just today and every figure was list as "out of stock". Shame; I was looking for some more Santa Claws figures. |

I'm still awaiting an outstanding Inferno demon figure ordered way back in February this year. I tried phoning a couple of times & was told the person to speak to wasn't there. Emails were answered for a couple of months, saying there was a casting machine problem, now they are ignored with no response (I know they have been read as I had read receipt on) Personally I wouldn't recommend ordering anything until things get sorted out

Rumour of our demise is a little premature. We were without casting for a while and have a new caster but there is such a backlog that we decided not to accept any new orders until the backlog has been sorted out. Yes in the meantime we have indicated that most items are out of stock. What we will now start to do this week is to go through the many items that we do have in stock and update the stock status. So as not to upset any more customers we will sell only what we have in stock rather than casting to order. Patrick R is right. We would like to reduce our ranges to only the Amazon Miniatures ranges that we created ourselves. As such QT, early Dixons, Pendragon, Inferno and Legions of Steel would be open to offers (individually, I would assume). We still have new ranges in the works but obviously will hold off until the casting backlog is fixed. Nick is right: please don't place any orders unless it is in stock. Since we marked items as out of stock we are still receiving emails to place orders for items that need casting. SpaceHulker: Opening hours are 9.30 to 5pm – we are certainly open 6 days a week. I would be interested to know which shopkeeper says it has not been open. lol. Yes we have discontinued the Dolls House ranges and are selling off existing stock. Also discontinued Games Workshop. The main shop (for those not in the area) is actually a hardware shop and the miniatures business is at the back. The hardware shop will certainly be continuing. Miniatures will be on sale via mail order. You will start to see changes on the website as we reconstruct the business on different lines. Casting to order has not worked and has certainly upset our customers. Ex-stock is the only way forward. |

@Amazon Miniatures – Do you think that things will be back to normal by the time of the run-up to Triples? If so, do you still expect to be casting QT figures then? |

What about items that are on back order but in the ranges you are listing as getting rid of? Will those be fulfilled? As mentioned I'm still awaiting an Inferno miniature from an order (5133 – Shamshiel) placed back in February

I understand that there is a bit of a flu epidemic in the UK. Don't know whether or not this has any bearing on the slow replies to this thread. |

There is activity going on at Amazon. I checked the status of my order, and it seems that it was dispatched over the weekend. - Eric |

Still no response to my backorder question, did you get your order Eric? Nick |
momoiro kakaricho | 05 Oct 2009 9:03 a.m. PST |
Hi Nick, I did get my order just before the weekend. They forgot one of the items, and when I e-mailed them to send it, they got back right away. Unfortunately, when I received the confirmation receipt for the missing item, it seems they may have sent the wrong thing. I e-mailed a second time to inform them of the error, but they did not respond. - Eric |

Their website appears to be OO-order
Some generic thing you often get when a domain is not renewed I think. So
gone now? |

Was just reading an article, "The Aztecs of Ancient China" in Wargames Illus. (Sept. 2002), suggesting Amazon Minis had some Shang-era Chinese. So, since it seems Amazon is OOB, are there other vendors selling Shang-era Chinese? Thanks in advance for any help! |
