For say 10mm and below most static grass is proably too long though I know you can get the smaller stuff.

However, is it better to use a scatter at this scale?

Hmmm interesting. In general I would say yes, but I have ordered some 6mm friendly scatter and am curious to see how a regular scatter with a bit of this short strand static grass will look.

I guess it depends on if your men are wading through long grass or not, dunno ask the forum for some examples:

I generally use woodland scenics flock for 6mm stuff (unless they are in the desert, then I use sand).

I've used the same static grass for my 6mm that I use for my 28mm and it looks fine to me..
