Howdy folks I've looked..oh yes, I've looked, but I cannot find the answer I'm looking for so I will ask you smarties! I'm looking for a platoon to company lvl game that I can play in a few hours without giving up too much realism. If I have to make some "house" rules, that's fine. Anything like that out there for both WW2 and Modern? I'm thinking BKC might be a good choice for WW2? Thanks |

Do you mean a maneuver element is a company or platoon or that you want each side to represent a company or platoon? Blitzkrieg Commander is somewhat abstract in terms of "rivet counter" kinds of detail but is an excellent system. And it has a "sister" game "Cold War Commander." The Future War Commander would probably work for moderns. |

If you are looking for a platoon on platoon game you might want to check out the sci-fi game Infinity. A platoon would probably stretch the limits of the system if the table wasn't covered with terrain, but if you had enough jungle terrain it would make for an amazing Vietnam game. |

If you mean a platoon to company sized engagement, you're describing Force on Force (www.ambushalleygames.com). If you're looking for a game that uses platoon or company sized maneuver elements, then you want something else! |

Iron Ivan result in a couple of hours and the feel is right – Odd things happen, but rarely, dumb moves are properly rewarded. |

I'm assuming it means games involved platoon to company sized engagements. WRG 1925-50 for WW2 and 1950-whatever for Moderns. BKC is aimed at brigade sized actions, so isn;t realy suitable. IABSM would work too, as would PBI2. Didn't we just have this thread? |
