Gentlemen,

I believe that some industrious individuals have gone the extra mile in detailing their 10mm Brokaw ACW vessels.

1. Do any pics of these detailed ships exist?

2. Where does one get the necessary items to detail the ships eg ratlines, vessles fittings etc, etc.

I'd like to use these ships but make them a bit more of a show piece item rather than a basic gaming model.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Happy Wanderer

You can also see them at east coast cons (unfortunately, I have the flu so I'm not at Fall-in this weekend.

I used a variety of items. There are a few cheap plastic kits in near the same scale. The USS Constitution, link , and a Bedford whaler, link . those models are not exactly the same scale (true n-scale vs 10mm), but are close enough that I use them both as game pieces and as parts boxes, particularly for rigging an sails. Other things I use are small brads and nails, string, hobby shop bass wood, etc.

I agree with your idea as show pieces. Frankly, 1/600 is allot easier for straight gaming. However, I have my ships in a display case. Any visitor to my home always go straight for the case.
