I sent 73 British AWI figures to Dragon Painting Service in July. On August 5th, I paided the 50% deposit to start paint on figures.

I've heard nothing since.

I know that painting 70+ British Rev War figures can take some time, but it's been about 6 weeks.

Has anyone else used the Dragon Painting Service and if so, what was your turn around time on the figures?

Thanks in advance.

Oddball,

I have only purchased already painted stuff from them, but it usually takes a month just to get the figs to me after paying for the already painted stuff. I would guess that you would need to add another month or so for painting.

I have a few customers who use them regularly. They are not very quick but they are reliable. I believe they have few, if any, employees, who are truly fluent in English…

What Extra Crispy said; slow but reliable. It took a long time to get my stuff, but the painting is really good and the packaging well done.

Slow is ok, just wasn't sure that I was in the right time line of when figures should be done.

Thank you all.

They respond to e-mail, but it may take a few days to get a response. They should send you pictures of your completed figures and if you approve they will send your final invoice, or at least they have done that for me in the past. They do take their time, but you should be happy in the end.

Hi
Stress less.
Good service, but communication from their end is abysmal!
Cheers

Will they paint the figures in less time than it took to fight the actual war?

;-)

(somewhat of an inside joke with Oddball who has had experience with VERY slow painters before.)

Ive bought plenty of their stuff, it takes about 7 weeks for 60 Foundry cavalry…and the packaging was very impressive, and the paint jobs were very impressive as well. They are located in China, so dont expect it fast in the mail. But you will be happy with the results.
I was, so I bought a few more. They are about as expensive as anyone else these days. I was afraid at first, I used Ebay, and have not sent out any figs. But the package would have to go thru 2 customs stations, and who knows how long that takes, add a week per location, plus 2-3 weeks for shipping, each way, and then paint time..probably 3-4 weeks.
So sending out fig turn around time, I would guess would be about 9-11 weeks, that being conservative.

Best Regards,
Tom

ps, Ive assumed you have received them by now..noticing the date on the post….
