Hi all.
The girlfriend and I are heading to the Languedoc region of France in a couple of weeks. We will be based in Carcassonne but travelling around.
So… Any gaming shops I could visit? The missus has already found a wool shop so I'm feeling left out ;)
Many thanks.

Hi CthulhuPunk,

Check the Links Library at our website, wargames.cat . Follow the left side bar to click on "Vincles d'interès" (=Interesting Links). Once there, you will find several different sub-Libraries:

"Centres de recursos" (=Resources centres),
"Botigues en xarxa" (=Shops on line),
"Fabricants de figures" (=Miniatures manufacturers),
"Fabricants de complements" (=Accessories manufacturers),
"Editors de jocs i llibres" (=Games & Books publishers),
"Clubs d'arreu del món" (=Clubs from around the world),
"Convencions i fires" (=Conventions & Fairs),
"Recreació històrica" (=Re-enactment),
"Altres enllaços" (=Other links).

Under each of these titles, there's a listing of links collection, sometimes geographically grouped, other times by subject. Click on each of those entitled "Occitània" (=Southern France). As you can see, there are specific Occitan entries not only for Shops, but also for Manufacturers and Clubs. These libraries collections are linking to URLs not only in Languedoc, but Provence, Aquitaine and so, too.

Sorry the website itself isn't in English, but in Catalan instead (and partially in Occitan). Anyway, you can try to get a translation by using the Google Translate gadget at our site Main Page.

Cheers!
