Since there are no photos of their infantry figures on the Old Glory 15s site, does anybody know how their 15mm Afrika Korps infantry compares to Battlefronts? Looking to get some AT rifle teams and some 2.8cm sPzB41s to update my DAK Shutzen to the North Afrika book. Thanks in advance, gents. Steve |

I can't speak to the DAK AT rifles; I have some Soviet AT rifles, and I wouldn't get them again, I'm afraid. The Germans may be better; I just don't know. The Panzerbusch, though, are beautiful little weapons: link Just be advised that, although the overall dimensions are comparable, the barrel of the weapon is much closer to scale than the BF equivalent. If you put the two together, the BF weapon will look very clunky. The BF model is probably better for mounting on vehicles, where it will get knocked about more; the QC weapons will be better protected on their gun bases. And congratulations! You're the first person I've seen inquire about that as a solution to the "new" organizations in "North Africa". Allen |

Steve, They had the whole line re-sculpted about three or four years ago and IIRC they should be reasonably compatible with the Battlefront stuff. |

If they are comparable with the 8th Army figures, then they are slim "true 15mm" figures. I have BF, PP, OG/CD and OG15 8th Army figures in my forces, and as long as you don't hold them together under your nose, they mix fine on the table top. However, I am a notorious round heel on "compatibility" issues. |

I would probably go with Peter Pig's 8/38 painted for the DAK, yodels and all: picture They're probably the best match out there for German AT rifles to Battlefront that you'll find, unless you happen to have a stash of old Battlefront company command packs hidden away. Hmmm hmm hmmmmm hmmmm. Allen |

Gentlemen, thank you for your assistance. I posted on the BF forum as to whether they would do blisters of AT rifles and the Panzerbusch, but they never responded, so it looks like I will be buying the QC Panzerbusches, either their AT rifles or Peter Pig's, and probably BF's AT crews. Allen, I really like the new North Afrika book. It appears to be closer to the actual organizations for the DAK that I've found inmy research of the 15. Panzerdivision. Thanks, again! Steve |

I'm looking forward to getting it, too; I'm procrastinating in the vain hope that there may be a second printing that corrects the obvious errors that have been found so far. I've been wanting to do the Italian AS42 organization, myself. And before tackling the Germans, I need to see how they're doing the basing now. The old, original ATR stand had three weapons on a medium stand. I'm wondering if those have been spread out, now. Allen |

You won't be able to tell from the pictures in the book, they recycled the pictures from Afrika, as far as I can tell. |

The silhouettes in the unit selections should give a clue. Allen |

I don't have my book with me at work, or I'd be able to tell you now. I'll let you know when I get to the house, in about 4 hours or so. Steve |

Unfortunately, there are no silhouettes in the unit selections. Two Schutzen sections show PaK38s, and the third shows the Panzerbusche. So I'm going with teams of 3 AT rifles and one soldier. Steve |

OK, same as before then. Just wondered. Thanks, Allen |
