I have just finished painting the first of two Hastati units for an allied legion that all being well will be at SOA Battleday 2010 ZAMA. picture picture picture There will be a full legion finished before Xmas I hope. To date I have the Triarii and 2 Principe units finished. There will be another Hastati and 4 units of levy when complete. Simon BBR is also painting an Allied legion for the same game. Cheers

Beautifully done. Not being able to see well enough to paint anymore is a mixed blessing. I love to paint, but I don't have to throw away my stuff after seeing real talent. JW |

Simon I maybe faster but they are dabbed not really painted as I am wick at the more delicate stuff, yours are much better finished but I have plans to do a matching Republican Roman legion as well so can't affort the time even if it would make any difference which I doubt. They will look great when they are all on the table. Cheers Keith |

Yes I agree- the detail will be totally lost! Especially if I forget my specs, like I did last year. I suppose I'm painting them fussily for my 6 Megapixel camera, which is a harsh mistress! ;-) simon |
