Just so we have no more lovely new boards. |

Howsabout everytime you post it replaces one of your other posts
you start with a limit of say
10
and once you hit 11 your first post deletes! |

My rule is that for every new board, two boards have to die. |

I agree with Patrick. I new board enters, two old boards die. |

1 Board, 1 Thread <period/> |

If this turns into a Poll question, then we have to vote to kill the old board first, before we vote to allow the new one! |

No. If you don't like a new board, render it inactive. The only exception would be if a new board was just an improved version of an existing one. |

How about all the messages that don't offer miniatures help, advice, pictures, links, etc., expire after X amount of time and are erased. |

Here's the skinny More and more boards dilute the content (crossposting notwithstanding, but that's a whole other can of angry wasps
). No-one can be expected to look at every. Damn. Board. just in case there may be something of interest on it. So small pearls of wisdom, interesting stuff, useful stuff and maybe just stuff that folks would like to read, get lost in the vast boardiverse. There's probably some things on here that meet all the criteria I just stated that I'd love to read, but I won't. Because I'll never find them. Do you see? |

Actually, Venusboys3, it should be every 45,935 posts it resets back to one. Right John?

I'm with Connard
I know people really want to advance the cause of the internets echo chamber
where you only have to see/hear/read what you already like/agree with
but for those of us without that peculiar need to swim in a vast ocean of 'stuff that smells like us' it just makes it harder and harder to run across new ideas and products. Beyond very broad categorizations of topics I see no need for a lot of little 'vanity forums' just so some flouncy sod doesn't have to know there are other interests here. |

We could have just one board for everything, that way we'd never miss anything. We could call it "Wargaming Spam-mail inbox" |

More Board discussions. Lovely. |
