Any rules for WW2 skirmish games, miniatures – not baordgames, that uses hexes? |

The Axis and allies miniatures game. |

If they use "Hexes" then it isn't an actual WWII game. Neither side officially used magic or sci-fi (SyFy?) powers. Seriously, there is an Advanced Squad Leader yahoo group with a files section that has rules to play ASL with minis. Also, Lost Battalion Games has a rules set (cannot recall the name) and also sells packs of terrain hexes and minis that all go together. |

I adapted the playtest version of Howard Whitehouses 'Combat!' to use hexes. It is fairly easy to do for most sets of rules. |

Ambush Blitz uses hexes. Not really a skirmish game, though. Infantry are based as squads, vehicles are individual models. Platoons of two to four stands or vehicles maneuver and fire together. Author says they're designed with 12mm in mind, but I play it as microarmor 1:285. Jim |

Nuts! from 2hrwargames could easily be adapted to hex movement. |

Old Squad Leader would adapt well as a minis game
.and I have seen it used that way on several occasions. I think it would be best just to use the basic rules for Squad Leader though
If you add in the first few expansions (Cross of Iron, Crescendo of Doom and GI, Anvil of Victory), then you get more variety both in terms of troop types, equipment and periods
.but still retain pretty much the basic rules with some chrome. Beyond that, it gets to be hideous. |

Are you asking for a game that uses hexes or one that doesn't? If no hexes, I think "Battleground" is a very good skirmish game. I play it often with my sons and friends and we have a blast! They are very detailed, but once you learn them, it moves fast! |
