On Thursday 17th September 2009 (and every Thursday thereafter), East Manchester Historical Games will be opening up their HQ in Hyde, Cheshire for an evening of miniature wargaming from 6pm – 10:30pm.

Tables are available free of charge & on a first come, first served basis, you just need to bring your own armies & terrain .

There is sufficient room to set up the following…
• 1 x 9' x 5' (Table tennis table)
• 2 x 8' x 4'
• 5 x 6' x 4'

The cost will be £4.00 GBP per person & this includes tea & coffee; cans, crisps, etc will also be on sale.

The venue is The Old Scout Building, Knivton Street, Godley, Hyde, SK14 2PU; this website has a map… link

Young people under 16 are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult who must be responsible for them at all times.

If a larger group of players would like to book use of the building on a separate evening (or day), perhaps for a larger game, then this may also be possible.

Finally, every second & fourth Sunday of each month, the Mailed Fist Wargames Club meets at our building, if Sunday gaming is your thing, then why not come along then, too?

Wrong side of Cheshire for me but good luck. Please do not tell my wife I said it was the wrong side of Cheshire, she was born in Hyde.

Cheers for that… hmmm… do I detect an opportunity to gain an attendee… visit or I tell your wife??? :-)

Blackmail… such an ugly word, but at times so appropriate :-)
