Was ordering some ships from War Times Journal and saw that they now have an SF game with supporting miniatures. The game rules are free and are calle Invisible Enemy, Micromachines at War. The storyling fluff is The Eylau sequence. Minis IMHO are neat looking and the line is pretty extensive. I might buy some for the game and give them double duty as fleet action scale starships. link |

Interesting minis. I really like the Japanese ring-ship. |

Rather nice unusual looking ships! |

Are these the biggest-scale miniatures seen so far on TMP? (20/1, according to eylau.com/about ) |

Ummmm . . . . the description of these is that they are *ground vehicles* and simnce that description is made by the peopel who have developed them, I can't help but wonder why we are discussining them as starships, aprt from the fact that thwy would make nice spacecraft admittedly. Then again, so would some of the Renegade Legion tanks as well. I will say, they are an intriguing take of grav tanks though . . . I shall read more about this. |

I have a number of the California MGV that I'm using for definitively alien 6mm-scale grav tanks. Very nice multi-purpose models, and clean casts with very crisp detail. |

OK, just read the background and beta rules. Impressive. A well-thought-out post-cataclysm future for starters, and a new slant on the future development of warfare – sort of like OGRE in micro/nanotech terms, with some intriguing geopolitics thrown in. I *will* say that it is a typically engineering-bias extrapolation but that's showing _MY_ scientific bias; At least it has the saving grace of not being the 'And then the miracle occurred!' approach of much of the Singularity-worshippers, tempering advances with sidetracks and real-world troubles to deal with. Nice to see my current home dealt with in an SF game . . . 'dealt with' being the operative phrase :) |

Interesting. i could see the Pike, sarisa and mace as alien AFV's or indeed space ships.I'm not sure about the mounting system, I would prefer clear acrylic, and i wonder how easy they would be to drill out an re-mount. however, i did consider that these stem mounts could be used to place an external weapon mount if used as AFV's. I might try it. I certainly like some of the suggested camo schemes, and i will be trying them on someof my grav MBT's. |

I'm using the Whiptail, Tegu, and Skink as alien grav vehicles, with the Chameleon and Monitor being used for support grav vehicles. The only problem I've had with the mounting system is for the Monitor, as there's not much surface area for a good bond. I'm using the posts mounted on small FoW bases instead of the provided metal bases for easier handling (and to match the rest of my 6mm scifi basing schemes). As to using the posts for weapons, some of them might work, but drilling the more "fish-like" minis for mounting on flying stands will be problematic due to how thin some of them are. |

They look thin, and its the fish like ones i like, so that is helpful to know. |
