Well I got my first look at some real live Scale Creep miniatures today. There's some pretty cool stuff in the three bags I reviewed. I'm no WWII uniforms expert but it appears -- just looking at the raw figure, that there's all kinds of variations in these figs -- the Herman Goering Infantry are especially intriguing. You could fit these in just about any kind of unit as an accent (I do like accent figs). I have to give these three bags of figures away at Tactical Solutions but I (I just cannot help myself) will have to take a real hard look at this line -- for sure I'm getting some of the Herman Goering Infantry -- these are just too much! If you haven't looked at these figs, you owe it to yourself to take a look. There's some really good stuff here! mjc |

Those would be the Resistant Roosters (now from Historifigs) that Mark carries? Allen |

Hmmm. Don't know if these are Resistant Roosters or not. I was looking at the figs, not the label. Here's a link: link mjc |

Yep, the "RRS" in the code (as well as the photo) is the clue. Allen |

Agree with Allen – Resistant Roosters – that solitary photo gives them away – a very unique and identifiable sculpting style. Cheers Mark |

Was looking at those. Interested in the American infantry in greatcoats. Figure that way wouldnt have to worry about the perennial problem/question of what other figure lines match up with them :) How are the sculpts, especially of the American infantry if greatcoats? |

I painted a platoon of the US infantry in greatcoats as a prize for a FoW tournament a few years ago. I've still got one or two more platoon packs I haven't gotten around to painting. Horrible, horrible photo I took in a rush as I was headed out the door to the con, and tried to salvage with Photoshop! link Generally, they fit OK with Battlefront's US infantry (which does have to be a consideration if you want tings like antitank gun crews to go with them!). But the quality of the sculpting varies from figure to figure. So there are several different sizes and shapes of M1 helmet in the platoon. That's a personal pet peeve. But overall, they're not too bad. The German Luftwaffe/Hermann Goering troops are the same way: some good poses, some looking awfully stiff and unnatural. And the sculptor can't do a consistent stahlhelm. But overall, painted, they're not too bad. I know, that sounds like damning with faint praise. But they really are OK; just not top of my list. I have to agree with Allen: some sculpts are great, some are lousy
so the overall effect is "not bad". I wouldn't buy them by choice, but would use them if there was no alternative. VB |

As always, many thanks Allen. Thank you as well VB. |

I say mjc, should there be a picture in that link? I don't see anything in Firefox, just pictures below the catalog entry of figures people have bought. -- Tim |
