It will be good

when the pictures arrive ….

(yes I know it says it's a work in progress, but a couple of pictures would be a good idea even for day 1 of the website)

Well a website is a step in the right direction.
I might've bought some stuff if there were pictures.

hurrahbro04 Sep 2009 3:12 p.m. PST

I have some very nice 10mm resin stuff from a Salute or Selweg by them.

10mm figures, SCW and Vietnam? Is that the old wild geese/bren gun range of figures?

Gaz004505 Sep 2009 3:35 a.m. PST

yep- 'Bren Gun Minis' were 'absorbed' by 'The Square'….

Andy ONeill05 Sep 2009 10:01 a.m. PST

Looking at the resin stuff.
90mm square.
Is that right?
A 5 yard square building?

Gaz004506 Sep 2009 4:24 a.m. PST

which building are you looking at..?
The Mogadishu 'square' unit is 10cm …..the larger rectangular being 10x20cm…..approx.

Andy ONeill06 Sep 2009 7:18 a.m. PST

When you click on the mogadishu range.
At the top of the list it says:
"Generic range of flat roofed buildings. Based on 90mm square structures, with a choice of 5 roofs for variation."

I have flu at the moment so my calculations went completely wrong. Apologies if that misled anyone.

20mil means 1/72 or 1/76
76 * 90 = 6840mm

Gaz004506 Sep 2009 9:52 a.m. PST

Someone did comment that they were 'enormous' for 20mm games but anything smaller isn't 'figure friendly' – based figures go in but they were tricky to extract…also a 'fireteam'/group of 4 washer/penny based figures will fit inside nicely.

Hi Gaz04550

Thanks for that, I know a couple of people with a fair amount of the Bren Gun/Wild Geese Vietnam stuff from before the bren gun era, I know that they are looking to complete their collections (though pendraken have filled most holes). I'll be letting them know!

PanzerFrank29 Sep 2009 8:53 a.m. PST

Oh my Credit Card's just glad they don't have any picture up on their site yet… I on the other hand, am a little disappointed! =(

Would be really interested in getting a pack of them.

gaz , thanks for posting the square stuff its awesome , the buildings some of the best modern stuctures in 20mm … but i promise never to tell anyone about the clock – honest :)

Gaz004502 Oct 2009 10:09 a.m. PST

'whatever you do don't mention the clock……'

Just before I left the UK, I saw an even bigger clock just crying out for conversion!!

here's a few buildings from The Square- (low square & rectangular buildings with additions to other manufacturer's buildings)
link

The keen eyed amongst you will also see Italeri,Fieldworks and old S&S models……a couple of scratch built items/conversions- the easiest was the food distribution centre with 2 large corrugated iron roof pieces on balsa wood columns…..
