Hello everyone;
I'm having a bit of trouble interpreting a simple point in this rule set:Section movement. A section receives three initiative dice upon activation. With those it can "spot, take cover or fire"(rule 3.1; p.15).

the question is: can they use their dices to move? or is movement an action that can be taken only after a big men ordered it? The only way for a squad to move its full 3d6 would then be to place its three initiative dice on "reserve" when its card is played and then use them when ordered to move by its big men?

thanks for your input,

Jonathan

I got tripped up by that same thing for a bit. It requires a big man to make a section move. A big man can cause a unit to activate; essentially giving the unit its initiative dice. You then ignore the units card that turn whenever it might show up. From what I've read on their yahoo group it seems to have basically become the standard rule that section cards are no longer used and everything happens on the turn of the BM card. I think that takes out some opportunity possibilities; but people seem to like the simplification. I can't recommend enough checking out their group. The designer is very active and responsive to questions.

yeah, units only move on their own, if they are still represented by a blind. Once they are revealed and "stuck in", they require the boss yelling at them
