Where are you finding your french light infantry drummer uniforms? I have the Osprey, and I have Elting's four books. This doesn't provide much.

Any good online sources? In a perfect world I'd like to see a listing of all regiments and drummer uniform details for those few which we know about. The Osprey on the French line has something like this, but there wasn't much in the French light infantry MAA.

I just use light blue rims and a brass/gold barrel for everything French. Nobody has called me out on it yet. If they did, meh.

It varied by Regiment and battalion for all French infantry drummers, largley on what the CO decided. Typically they were in contrasting colours, so yellow, red or green jackets. Blue was also still in use.

It would depend of the period, quite common in the early days were red lapels instead of dark blue ones, otherwise it could vary from regiment to regiment.

Hey,Dean! Thanks for that great collection of French drummers, now one of my saved favorites! Interesting to see the french drummer of 1815 with the chains of the King's livery. Some battalions wore that at Waterloo. Also, I belive the 65th had a dark blue uniform coat, not sky blue, but the yellow shako is correct. Great set of "stuff."

there is also a site that has all the Roussellot plates, and there is one on Heads of the Column. I hope this works!
