Did the British Light Infantry have the same standard uniform for the latter period of the war?

it seems the standard uniform was worn all the way through with regimental "tweeks" and references.
Buttons and badges tended to be black for rifle regiments, light infantry normal colour.

I pressume we mean WW1?
