Hi all, Maybe some of you remember a thread opened some 40 days ago, where I let you all know the release of a new series of pre-printed flags for Spanish Civil War gaming: TMP link I'm happy to announce the release of 2 flagsheets else, respectively devoted to International Brigades and Nationalist Army Ordnance flags, so that our collection now consists of 9 flagsheets: # REP1 – Spanish Republic official flags # REP2 – Catalan & Valencian militiae # REP3 – CNT-FAI & POUM militiae # REP4 – People's Army Ordnance flags # REP7 – International Brigades 1 # NAT1 – Nationalist Spain's official flags # NAT2 – Carlist militia # NAT3 – Falangist militia # NAT4 – Nationalist Army Ordnance flags
and still growing! Due for September, REP5 – 'Euzko Gudarostea' or Basque Army, and NAT5 – Protectorate of Morocco. These flagsheets are available entirely for free, from the website I'm webmaster of, wargames.cat --specific page: wargames.cat/Dwnload/Vex . They can also be freely downloaded from the SCW20 YahooGroup, if you're a member of it. |

Just as promised, I've finished two new flagsheets: Euzko Gudarostea or Basque Army, and Protectorate of Morocco. Check them at the website above, as usual. As explained a while ago in the SCW20 Yahoo Group, these days I've happened to find in the Net some extraordinary PDF files due to the Associació Catalana de Vexil·lologia (Catalan Vexillological Society) which, after some analysis, are revealing to be a promising, sensational source of information about foreign volunteers in Republican service and the flags of the units they formed all through the SCW; not only about the International Brigades themselves, but (most important) about the early volunteer columns formed in the first weeks after the military uprising -much before than the IBs were eventually formed, or even imagined. Therefore, I'll likely have to alter my former plans (which consisted in exploring the alignment of Spain with the Axis in 1939-1945 and collecting the "Blue Division" flags), in order to give now maximum priority to design -and even to partially remake- a complete flagsheets series on the Foreign Volunteers and International Brigades based on those ACV files, which I expect will consist in no less than
3 full flagsheets!! |
