Hello, I am looking for some WWII Basic squad counters for the major powers during WWII. I was hoping to find some freebies online to print myself, but have had no luck thus far. Does anyone know if there are free counters floating around in cyberspace? If that fails does anyone have a good tutorial on how to make my own counters out of printable thick paper? I am looking for nothing fancy just something that tells what the unit type is (mainly for infantry squads and light guns). Thanks! |

Unless I completely misunderstand you, this site might be of interest for you. Here you can download free top-downs of infantry, guns and vehicles, in full colour. Check out the World War II section: link |

I use the Junior General top-downs that LotG pointed you to, printed out on cardstock, and they work wonderfully. Alternately, you could download one of the military symbol fonts and print those out on cardstock. A buddy of mine additionally glues the cardstock onto the thing foam sheets sold at hobby shops and seals them, if you want something more permanent. - Bob |

I use self adhesive floor tiles. Print out top-downs from the link above on ordinary paper. Peel off the backing on the tile and stick the paper on, then cut out. I buy the cheapest tiles I can find. |

I do the same thing except I use the magnet sheeting. Peel off, lay the4 paper down and then cut out. Gives them nice thickness and "heft" plus they tend to stick together in storage and not get lost. Never had a problem with them "attracting" each other while in use. |
