Hello, everyone. Wanted to share some of our latest greens for two characters:

FC Julian, Private Detective, for our Shanghai, 1930 range, and Mata Hari, for our Champions of History range.

Both are sculpted to be around 28mm tall. FC Julian is slightly taller, Mata Hari will be slightly smaller. They should be compatible with Pulp, Copplestone, etc.

Hope you enjoy.

Hmm, three photos of Mata Hari, only one of Julian. I guess those of us who want to see Julian's profile or ass will have to wait until we buy the mini.

:)

Very nice work, Mata Hari is rounded without having the standard Barbie figure. I like the armored car as well.

Mata is excellent. Good figure as Jlundberg notes, and pretty face in a 1915 style. Howabout making her in street clothing too? Not many gaming uses for someone in that pose and costume.

Very nice.

I found the "Entertainer" I had been looking for. A very good model in itself.

Although a minor critique (Not a bad one ;-)) was that the real Mata Hari considered herself (And she was)umm…un-endowed….

But a nice improvement ;)

She's a Movie Mata Hari…much more fun than the real thing for Pulps!! Be cool if you could actually sculpt a figure to look like Greta Garbo from the 1931 Mata Hari movie.

That's the only shot of Julian, currently, because the other shots I have of him are of the green have a different haircut.. (the sculptor was basing his likeness on a bust, and used a very literal interpretation that had to be slightly modernized). Here are some other photos:

Again, the haircut has been slightly modified, as you can see in the first image. Not a big deal, but worth pointing out.

As for Mata Hari's.. err… assets, I think you'll find that she is both thrusting herself forward -and- wearing padding beneath. I think that she may be less over-endowed than you think she may be:)

The profile for Mata is right on the nose!
I don't know how you could make the figure MORE well endowed!

The head dress is not the standard one seen in most photos
Lovely sculpt!

Here is a picture for folks to judge the endowment issue

Maybe she was more endowed as she got older, from 1911 (at 35) to 1917 (41)

I quite like both figures.

One question, in your opinion, what is Julian reaching for?

It looks like a holster on the one hip? so not a gun?

As to Mata Hari, I think the mini is an improvement ;)

As to ordering, we do so by email? Sending in an order, then then BlackArmy sending a paypal invoice?

GrantS21 Aug 2009 9:39 p.m. PST

Oh….sorry to double post. And not trying to…uh..intrude, so please take this lightly ;-) ( sorta mean it in jest.)

All you need is an American cargo pilot.

And a evil Japanese Princess and bodyguard.

Lol, normally I'd say Germans…..But pre-nazi ones ain't any fun.

SBminisguy21 Aug 2009 11:11 p.m. PST

When will your miniatures be available for purchase??

Number621 Aug 2009 11:18 p.m. PST

Now I'm going to have nightmares about 30 years of bad tv shows.

Gold Monkey had potential. Unfortunately, the Love Boat had more drama and better production values.

Aurelian22 Aug 2009 2:13 a.m. PST

There actually -will- be an evil Japanese princess.. she was actually Chinese born, and a real personality in 1930s Shanghai. She'll be our first Japanese character, planned provisionally for the next wave.

Tankisti -

If all goes well, the miniatures should be available to purchase within two to three weeks.

Grant -

Looks like he's reaching for a gun, to me…

Ordering will be done by email. You send me a request, I send you a paypal invoice. It's as simple as that.

Okay great!

When I get everything figured out, Julian and Mata Hari are on my list!

Although from the sounds of things, maybe I better wait till the next wave ;) Depends on how well I can hold my impatience in check!!!

Redroom22 Aug 2009 6:39 a.m. PST

I like them both

Um, not if the fantasy and sci-fi crowd take notice of Mata… evil grin
