Ever since I saw this web page ( link ) I knew that I had to make some for my post apocalyptic miniature gaming.

So here is my version of Thundarr and company.

Be advised…

My photo skills and painting skill need much improvement. And this is the very first time I ever used green stuff.

The Trio – picture

Thundarr – picture

Ookla the Mok – picture

Princess Ariel – picture

Demon Dogs!!!
I wish my picture of Ariel's back would have worked… she has a severe case of cheek-leak!

Ookla needs a diecast Volkswagen to throw.

LOLOL!!!

I got a red one for him! 1/43 scale.

I really like the pose for Ariel, Nice job!

Pretty good first try for using green stuff.

Now you need a Gemini.

Ariel had it goin' on. Smart, tough, sarcastic, and hawt.

She "hawt" alright!

Looking good, Warrenss2!

Wow! First time to use green stuff? A great effort. These are very decent figures. I hope you make time to start sculpting more often. Nice!

Warrenss221 Aug 2009 3:57 p.m. PST

Ummmm…. maybe I should be more clear on exactly how the greenstuff was used or where it was used.

Thundarr's furry tunic, Ookla's boots, shorts, and beard were the only parts that are greenstuff.

The rest are pure miniature through & through.

CC, how in the h#ll do people paint like this…

The lines in her costume just blow me away… what detail! What buttocks… er… opps… sorry.

I used to be really active on the Reaper forum. Looking at the quality of painting most of those people did was depressing.

Ariel?
And I thought my obsession with Lisa Hayes from Robotech was an issue I should deal with…

Warrenss222 Aug 2009 1:56 a.m. PST

LOL! I doubt I could ever be that good too, Hexxenhammer. Since I've gotten older my hands are not as steady as they used to be.

@ MacrossMartin – I used to have a big time crush on Ariel when the cartoon first came out. And I'm a hindquarters type of guy. So it was only logical to do Ariel with a miniature that showed some butt. evil grin

Those are pretty cool looking. I always liked Thundarr when I was a kid, it was my favourite saturday morning cartoon.

Alxbates22 Aug 2009 7:03 a.m. PST

Those look very nice!

I can see some fingerprints in the putty, though – I'd suggest using some sort of moistened smoothing tool to finish your work with – a few gentle passes over all the surfaces when you're done will work wonders to get rid of the fingerprints.

Thanks for posting the pics – I'm a fan of Thundarr myself!

frown That happened before I learned you should moisten your fingers & tools with water. frown
