Hey, guys - Since so many of you helped with this, I thought I'd share some early shots of the final green from Leandro Ventic. Should have better shots once he's cast up in metal. I expect the miniature to be available in the October-September timeframe as part of our second wave of releases. Timing depends partly upon how well the first wave sells. Here are several preview shots. John is cast with an open hand to hold his three weapon options: His specially modified Super 38, a Tommy, and a .22 target pistol. The weapons are held rather loosely because they are not permanently attached, so they might look a little akward in his hands. They'll fit fine once you decide how you'd like to attach them. His face as a likeness is pretty uncanny, so I've tried to include a closer look at it. picture picture picture picture picture picture We also have Mata Hari, Julian the Apostate Mounted, a new Private Detective character for our Shanghai, 1930 range, and an Ehrhardt armored car sculpted and ready for the next wave. The current stuff should be available soon, hopefully by the end of the month/beginning of September. I can provide photos or info regarding the other stuff if anybody's interested. blackarmyproductions.com -Aurelian |

They look great! Will you be selling the Tommy separately? No one – and I mean: NO ONE – sells a Thompson Model 1921 SMG with 50 round magazine, full shoulder stock and vertical foregrip, a.k.a. "the Chicago Typewriter" in 28mm. Packs of 5 with spare magazines in pouches would be quite useful, please. Al | rivetsandsteam.com |

I agree the mini is magnificent. Certainly will go on my wishlist. Thirded on the Tommy gun. Maybe not for me but I do know it is one of the best looking ones I have seen on a mini. |

Looking good! I also like the private detective. |

I'm waiting on the not-Solomon Kane fig. |

NICE!!! Be sure to let us know when Mata Hari and the next PI are available. I about got my "Wishlist" together and will be on a spending spree. I'll probably drop by and pick up something :D |

I will be getting these, and the armored car, been needing an Ehrhardt for my 1919 Freikorps. I assume these are all modern 25mm scale -- compatible with Copplestone and Pulp figures? Looking forward to a good 1920's tommy gun too. This one from Reaper is pretty good, in the meantime. link My sense of scale is not too good, but I wonder if John's weapons are a bit large-ish? Keep us posted when the goods are ready. |

Bob and his dog – Thanks! I stand corrected. Good to know. :) The problem is I need a dozen or more, not just one, so getting them from Reaper is cost prohibitive. |

Hi, guys. I'm willing to consider selling the weapons separately. Sort of depends upon how the molding process shakes out – but yes, I'm open to it. Can't make any promises yet. At the very least, we have discussed the possibility of doing separate weapons sprues – to standardize weapons among sculptors if nothing else. Dentatus - Abel will be available in the first wave. His green is going off to the caster tomorrow, so hopefully by the first week or two of September, he'll be ready to sell. Grant - I'll post some pics of Mata Hari and the PI shortly. Thanks for reminding me. Those should be available in the second wave. Bob - I'll post a photo of the Ehrhardt here for those who haven't seen it yet. It's a stunning piece of work – Tobi's best work yet in my opinion. It should be available relatively soon. Just a matter of getting it here and getting it molded, as vehicles are typically lest cost prohibitive to mold than sets of figs. As for scale, the line was designed to be size compatible with my favorite pulp line (Pulp Figures), so it should be no problem. They are True 28s – but so are the Pulp Figs, actually. They look pretty good next to Copplestone figs, not enough difference that I can detect to make a major difference in height. I suspect the issue with gun size may be a matter of perspective. The tommy gun was originally quite larger, but after Leandro fixed it, I referenced it (and the other weapons) against a photo of Dillinger's weapons (anybody can find it online, just do a web search for "Dillinger Gang Weapons"), and they look to be of a very appropriate scale, as far as I can see. The tommy seems to have an extended stock, a large magazine, etc
but it does look right. It's also an earlier model gun, which if I understand correctly, was slightly larger. Not a gun expert, though, so I can only say "it looks right to me", for what it's worth. -Aurelian |

Aurelian, will you be doing a figure of Kawashima Yoshiko? That gal was bad news

Leland - We will indeed. The Japanese will be coming in the next wave, and Kawashima Yoshiko is the first planned character for their "faction." -A. |

Aurelian, most excellent. I have bookmarked your fine little enterprise, and shoved a hard copy of same into our family's Christmas Wish List binder
 That dratted Erhardt
I have two in 1/72 scale already (the same scale as 95% of my CCW collection), but methinks my 28mm warlord factions need something heavier
God help me if you come up with a Citroen-Kegresse halftrack armoured car

Just an update on this, guys. John will be joining Mata Hari, Julian the Apostate, and a fourth fig (being sculpted now) in our next release, which should hopefully take place in November. -Aurelian |
