Hi Scott

Great job, good choice in colour for the militia too, I think, they could possibly have been issue some red coats by the Brits, nice job on the Victrix too, well done.

Hi Dan
Thanks for the comments.
The next Spanish Militia I do will have Green coats. I've already started on my next 32 VICTRIX also, (not sure on what Regt though,…).

They look great! Very clean paint job.

If I may… have you ever considered dip? Those British would look INSANE dipped… last night I just dipped some cleanly painted Warhammer 40k Praetorians for a buddy who is selling them and they came just mindnumbingly nice.

Anyway, keep it up!

Hi Lord A.
I have considered Dip, (Army Painter).
I might have another look at the idea.
Cheers

I don't recommend dipping plastic figures.

I did a bunch of ACW Confederates last year, using both the Perry plastics and the new 2nd gen Old Glory figures.

The metal OGs dipped just fine. But the Perry plastics were a mess. They're too smooth, so the dip hangs on them like a shade, or pools in places you don't want it, like faces. The metal figures have much more little details, and more dramatic angles and grooves that lend themselves to the Dip.

Hi
I suspected as much.
Hmmmm,… now I'm in a binde
Maybe as an experiment I'll dip just some spare pipers or drummers or flank coy guys, (I have more than a few).
