Anyone heard anything? I know Arty said hopefully by the end of the year, but I'm gettin' itchy!

Sorry… that should say: Any NEWS… duh

I don't know but I hope they fix the armor. I've been playing CF for about a month now and I'm struggling with the tanks a bit. Great rules though (especially since I got them at historicon for $1.50)

The play testing is taking longer than anticipated, so I think the Fall expectation might be a bit premature at this point.

The one thing above all else that needs to be fixed is the irritating and completely unnecessary capitalization! grin

Actually I like the armor rules. It is a close range, short time period turn game and armor just does not dominate or count for much with those parameters.

If a game table is within all infantry weapon ranges (a few hundred yards at best), then a tank or vehicle is limited by its ability to react, move far or have more than a couple of such on the table for either side.

Over the years I've bought 1-2 of just about all WWII US, German and Soviet AFVs for use in the game, and never have more than that number on the table per side. It works well and armor fans learn the hard way that in close terrain having infantry with them is the only way to survive long.

Any update on new CF 2 rules?

Ruben Megido06 Dec 2009 8:12 a.m. PST

Check the CF Yahoo Group..things are going slowly and i think we shouldnŽt expect anyhing till several months.

Meanwhile iŽll stick to the house rules iŽve taken from one or other CF website. I think CF2 would have some of them included as "official" ones.
