I am looking for Gettysburg buildings in 6mm, with a UK supplier.

Any suggestions?

I'l save you some time by telling you that there aren't any. I think you can find a card model of the cemetery arch building somewhere on the web, but no-one makes the seminary in 6mm. I needed one for the pictures of the Gettysburg scenario for our Polemos rules and in the end I had to scratchbuild my own. You can see the result about 3/4 of the way down this page link

Nice stuff.

I had to make mine as well. I toyed with the idea of making a better version using embossed card/plasicard, ect, for casting but just haven't had the opportunity to sit down and do it. Here's one I made many, many years ago, though not up to Timecast standards:

Thanks for the advice guys.

It seems incredible that no manufacturer has made a model of iconic ACW buildings such as the Seminary: there seem to be plenty of standard wooden and stone farm type buildings out there, many duplicated by several manufacturers.

The timecast buildings are superior. I am thinking of scratchbuilding my own seminary as well, though it won't see a lot of action. There is a whole book out called farms at gettysburg which provides good references for making the farms. I am a baccus addict, mostly, but one very useful resource irregular provides is a se of windows and doors which can be used in 6mm scratch building.

I have a beautiful Lutheran Seminary from Total Battle Miniatures.

Will be the centre piece in the club game for 2013.

I was about to say Total Battle Miniatures--Excellent castings and sculpts in 6mm…

I'll make one if there's enough interest?

Steve – interest x 2.

Does anyone have an idea where I can find the dimensions of the place? It looks quite an imposing building.

Steve,

Just be careful about the size of the footprint of a scale model: I believe the actual building is quite substantial

Don't worry Al, I'll be modelling it in my usual 'reduced' style!
