Wasnt there a Flames of War set of the LRDG? if its not around anymore can anyone recommend another 15mm source or failing that 20mm? Cheers, Mick |

Peter Pig do an LRDG crew and a jeep peterpig.co.uk/british.htm You can convert some of their 8th or 14th army figures using the arab headress heads, commando caps, berets etc |

FOW still make LRDG trucks and troops on separate blisters. They discontinued the boxed set and can be found on some online stores or ebay but highly overpriced. |

Britannia do some nice stuff in 20mm and so do Dixons. SGTs Mess do some nice 20mm LRDG jeeps too. |

The Peter Pig LRDG crew was designed for SDD's Chevy truck, which is quite nice. Not sure though how easy it is to get the SDD trucks from Stronghold. The individual Battlefront trucks are better than the ones in the OOP sets. The one-piece resin models in the sets were compressed little things. So: what helpful people will tell the poster what's available in 6mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 1:56? Or suggest Saharianas instead? Allen |

Dom's Decals also have the full slate of individual decals for the New Zealand group, in 15mm. |

He has got some 15mm stuff, as I have, but this is for a new project so while we'd prefer 15mm he's considering 20mm. The heretic. But thanks for responses so far! |

Well the question asked was "another 15mm source or failing that 20mm?" so I'm not quite sure why those suggesting 20mm are getting sniped at

I have both a couple of the individual blister BattleFront LRDG and the 'Sting of the Scorpion' boxed set. They look just fine next to each other (in fact, I like the box-set trucks better, since they're full of supplies). If you are a decent hand with Greenstuff, you can easily add the stowage to the individual BF trucks. Similarly, they have both LRDG and SAS platoon blisters (as well as the LRDG/SAS jeeps in blister packs). |

The 20mm ones are for close up
the 15mm ones are for further away |

Cheers for the responses people! :-) 15mm is the prefered scale due to size of game on a 6'x4' table but 20mm will do, just means will have to either look at a larger table or a smaller scenario

Cardinal hawkwood, excellent work as usual! 8^D Mick, have good times with the SAS/LRDG, I always do (in our favorite scale, 28mm). We ran a game at Fall-in 2007 and did a bang-up night raid on a ME-109 desert strip. Very fast, and quite bloody. Lots of plane blowing up! Smashing good fun! |
