As a change from my Napoleonics I was thinking of a near future, scenario in a "european" setting. So I am looking for armed civilians in western dress, soldiers i berets witout body armour and perhaps media crews and the odd corporate boss and guards. The regulars come from Eureka and TAG so in that size range would be great.

Are the Mongrel european mercenaries too 60ies or can they be used in a modern setting?

Cheers

If you can wait a bit wargames factory is coming out with a set soon.

For armed western civilians, check out TAG's Organized Criminal gangs: link

I painted up some of TAG's SAS troops in civilian colors-they make passable Western militia as well (the ones in arab gear are from the CIA set): link

Also, keepin mind that Wargames Factory will soon be releasing a Near Future Armed Civilian set that should feature western civiliams with a variety of armament options.

Eureka also has some, in a mix of dress, in their Kreigspiel range

There are many usable figures in the Street Violence range from Wargames Factory, Coppelstone also has a lot of good figures, for flavor you could add in figures from the No Go Zone line ( link ) and Hasselfree also makes many very good usable figures with guns.

I like the NGZ stuff. The shipping is rather high, though.

If you don't mind WWII European civilians then Black Tree Design had some nice French Resistance minis in 28mm.

Thank you all for the many ideas and links. Very useful and very varied which gives me new scenario ideas.

Would the "28mm Modern Gangsta Figures" from East Riding Miniatures work?
