Hey all, I'm looking for manufacturers that do resing bases similar to the style of base for warmachine. I'm looking for fantasy style terrain basis with the rounded lip.

I thought I'd run into a company that started with an H that did some nice bases but I can't locate them now.

Epicast and Micro Arts, off the top of my head, as well as a few sold through the Dark Age line (Dark Age was the first game to use those bases, Warmachine is just the most popular).

Kerr & King also do several styles of bases like that.

Was the cvompany beginning with an "H" Hasslefree, by any chance?

nah, not hasslefree, and I may be wrong about the "h" lol.

microart has some nice bases though!

Dark Age Games has a nice series called "Groundwerks." They're on the front page of the Dark Age site right now dark-age.com/main.php

Yeah, Epicast for me.
I recommend.

You also might try DragonForge Design, run by Jeff Wilhelm He does some pretty nice stuff too.

I'm leaning towards dragonforge at the moment as they have probably what appears to be the best sculpted.

we stock bases by Fenris that are resin 'warmachine style'

Fenris are a superior product. Most of the resin bases I've seen have amateurish sculpting and are a little over the top/ridiculous. And some companies use poor quality, oily yellow resin and don't cast properly to remove bubbles. Fenris use an awesome resin that's gray flecked, has no shine and accepts paint wonderfully. Beautifully cast and the sculpt quality fantastic. That and they're just more realistic/believable. Fenris sells through it's own ebay shop as well.

I don't recommend Kerr & King, btw. Oily, poor quality resin doesn't take paint well. Terrible casting with dozens of bubbles I had to painstakingingly fill. And poor quality sculpting. I could have sculpted a better base in less time than it took me to prepare the prepackaged one.

Have a look at Scibor Monstrous, some nice bases there.

A bit late to add to the discussion, but I just had an order from Forgecraft Games forgecraftgames.com make it in in less than week. Bases are great and ordering was easy.
