Have a look at this eye candy! Pawel Chrzankowski heavily customizes his figures, and the conversions are really good for 10mm scale.

Great figure but those flags are huge and who has ever seen flags stand out straight unless tacked to a wall?

Still would love to see a tutoral on how he paints them.

Wow! My hat's off to Pawel. His results are stunning and should cause many more to convert to the scale. 10mm offers some wonderful manufacturers whose level of detail is getting higher and higher. This increase is creating a dilema, "Is it a scale for en-masse basing or, one for a beautiful diorama appeal?" I think you get both! :-)

Very impressive work. Wow! indeed.

Those are really nice. I especially like the ACW artillerymen in shirts; do you know who makes those?

clibinarium01 Aug 2009 6:39 a.m. PST

That's some of the best 10mm painting I've ever seen, and I'm very picky when it comes to 10mm!

I sent Pawel an e-mail asking about the artillery crew figures. Will post his reply.

Jagger200801 Aug 2009 7:33 a.m. PST

Scott those appear to be Langton artillery and crew.

Here is a photo of the Langton/Starfort artillery (not painted) which is the same cannon/crew as Pawels photos. See photo at bottom of this link:

link

Langton has generic smoothbore and rifled artillery but not 6pdr smoothbores. Each cannon comes with 3 artillerymen.

According to the Madaxeman, Langton/Starfort is compatible with Magister Militum. They are skinnier than Pendrakens and Minifigs-(closer to GHQ rather than Pendraken/Minifigs??).

If I were going to take a photo of a flag, I would want it out straight until after the photo is taken. You can see the quality of the flag easier when it isn't furled. After the photo, then I would furl the flag for the tabletop.

I know that flags are too big, all my friends told me so. As you can see on few photos, part of stands doesn't have flags – I'm preparing new smaller flags.

What can I say, these figures get better and better. Pawel, do you have you own Blog / site? I think many of us would love to see more of your work.

The Napoleonics are excellent, some of the best 10mm painting I've seen.

Keep up the great work

A flag in reality is for the common soldier 20 feet away. A flag in wargaming is for the player standing above the whole army. So surely it has to be bigger in size. It is the same why we use brighter colours. I love the flags.

Hellow Andy
I don't have my own blog but if someone wants to see my figures please send me request on my e-mail pchrzanowski1@o2.pl and I will send photos.

Hi Pawel,

Cheers for that I will, in the mean time here's a link to the photobucket site where I store my 10mm images.

tutorial?

hmmmm I will try

andymac03 Aug 2009 4:44 a.m. PST

The WSS figures are superb, do you use a magnifier to get that level of detail?

I would also love to see a tutorial, your figures are just terrific and inspirational.
