Request for a new Emoticons Bill how about an icon of a plane going down in flames. That way when someone posts something that is proven false you can post the facts and insert a bird going down in flames as the "bogus" information is shot down. VR James Mattes |

Who's a goin' to be doin' the provin'? This is not a platform for academic discourse, it's not even a platform for informed opinion. It is a platform for personal opinion, mistaken interpretation of something one read once, Google freaks and half-baked theory. However much certain members would like to believe otherwise. Call me a liar and you'd better have your sources and your asbestos jockeys handy. |

proven false Uh huh, yup, right, OK. Who decides? My Latin ain't up to a suitably pithy response. Who is full of pith today? |

This is not a platform for academic discourse, Heck, even those clowns in academia can't settle who is right or wrong. And TMP is supposed to decide? |
streetline | 31 Jul 2009 7:42 a.m. PST |
Can't we just look it up on wikipedia? |

"Who is full of pith today?" AND vinegar. "Bill how about an icon of a plane going down in flames." Good idea, for every time Baltimore 2010 is mentioned!!! Allen |

Like the flaming plane, this one doesn't seem to be a flier. Qui sine peccato est vestrum primus lapidem mittat? I think |
UltraOrk | 31 Jul 2009 7:50 a.m. PST |
I'd rather have a flaming turkey. |
Goldwyrm | 31 Jul 2009 7:54 a.m. PST |
Sure. Since it is your idea, can we make the format of the new symbol *Mattes* ??

"Qui sine peccato est vestrum primus lapidem mittat?" That's rather Vulgate of you. |
aecurtis | 31 Jul 2009 8:02 a.m. PST |
"Cum ergo perseverarent interrogantes eum, erexit se, et dixit eis: Qui sine peccato est vestrum, primus in illam lapidem mittat."
actually. |
aecurtis | 31 Jul 2009 8:03 a.m. PST |
That's according to the Interwebs, but it agrees with what I have in this bound stack of flimsy paper. |

That way when someone posts something that is proven false you can post the facts and insert a bird going down in flames Yeah, that's going to make this place a lot more pleasant. Hey how about an icon of a flaming donkey with a troll on it's back? Apparently there just isn't enough venom on this site. Donald~ |

Could we have a flaming bricole instead ? |
Der Alte Fritz | 31 Jul 2009 9:05 a.m. PST |
Oh why don't we just have done with it and have a middle finger emoticon. Isn't that what you really want to say to the other person? |
religon | 31 Jul 2009 9:21 a.m. PST |
Oh! I have an idea. We need a Judge-Arbitrator position created for the forum. This person can decide truth. Process would go something like this
. 1) James would catch Joe Gamer saying that teamsters would have to be employed in Baltimore in 2010. 2) James would fill out a 27B-6, notarize said form, and expedite it to the Judge-Arbitrator. 3) The Judge-Arbitrator would then be able to make his truth determination in one of two manners. a) Draw on his great personal intellect. b) Look up the answer on wikipedia. 4) If the Judge-Arbitrator finds in favor of the petitioner, in this case James will become authorized to use said emoticon rather than have to stoop to the base level of discourse to argue his point. 5) Bribing the Judge-Arbitrator with beers is not ethical, but may be allowed depending on poll results. Someone needs to see that we elect a Judge-Arbitrator. I promise to vote for the candidate with the most ambitious plan to enlarge the powers of the office and become tempted to abuse such powers. |

Make the icons bigger, if you must have more. I can't see them! Make them the same size as a Supporting Member's icon. |

Well if we are looking for other ideas how about a "jumping the shark" Icon for those ideas that have been beat to death. VR James Mattes |
