Where can I find 25mm scale miniatures that can be used as Draconians from the Dragonlance D&D campaign? I can't seem to find much in the way of winged lizardmen in armour. For those who aren't familiar with Draconians:

Baaz draconians are about the size of a human with stubby wings. They usually wear chain armour and use swords.
picture

Bozak draconians are slightly larger than humans. They are either priests (in robes with no weapons, staff, or short sword) or commanders (usually with a bow and short sword, wearing little or no armour). The pic is of a commander Bozak.

Kapak draconians are about the same size as humans. They usually wear leather armour and have short swords (for the iconic "lick the blade to coat it in poison" thing) and sometimes bows.
picture

Sivak draconians are much larger than humans (9-10ft tall), wear plate armour, and carry big greatswords.

Aurak draconians are slightly larger than humans, have no wings (which should make finding minis for them easier), are dressed in robes, and rarely have weapons.

So, any suggestions?

Well the best fit would be the old Ral Partha Draconians box set. You can see it here:

You will have to find them on Ebay though.

It would be nice if more of the Dracci warriors have wings. Still, the Dracci Lords might work as Sivaks. Too bad they don't have plate armour though. A few of those old ral partha draconian box sets would be really nice. Finding them is going to be difficult though, and they'll probably be expensive, especially since I need about 15 baaz, 10 kapak, and 6 bozak.

You can find them for 20-40 dollars. So a little expensive but if you get 4-5 of them you should be covered. And they are 25mm instead of the larger 28mm miniatures.

Ral Partha also produced some Dragonmen which were very nice winged and armoured creatures. Again they are OOP but I got some from Spirit Games a couple of years ago so they may still have some.

Sorry I don't know what the D&D critters look like.

Here there be Dracci:

Grenadier had some Dragonmen in their Fantasy Lords range. I don't see them listed on Mirliton's website, though I assume they have the production rights. I base the assumption on the many contemporary Fantasy Lords they produce. The packs to look for are:

117 Dragonmen

125 Armored Dragonmen

153 Dragonmen Specialists

Happy hunting!

What about the Dragonblood Draconids?

Actually now that I look at their stats they may be a little too big

Some of Reaper's Reptus minis have wings.

Why are all the good dragonmen OOP? The ral Partha Draconians and Grenadier Dragonmen would be perfect, but finding enough of either is going to be a real pain. The Dracci and Reptus are nice, although I think they're a little big. I might find a couple to use as sivaks, but I think they may be too big to use as any other kind of draconian. Sigh, I may have to use the prepainted plastic baaz and kapak from the D&D Miniatures line. Unfortunately, since they're both from the second released set, I think it may be difficult to enough of them. Maybe there's a way to stick wings on a set of regular lizardmen. I just need to find some lizardmen miniatures with the right armour and weapons.

Sorry for the double post but I just had a thought. What about 15-18mm miniatures? Are there any 15mm dragonmen miniatures with appropriate arms and armour that can be used as draconians?

There's a Sivak and Aurak draconian in the next D&D miniatures set from WotC, out later this month:

Second the Reptus minis from Reaper.

Add some devil wings and you should be golden

Shaddowdragon, how many do you need? I have two complete box seta of the Ral Partha Draconians and I think, six or nine seperate Grenadier Dragon Men. I would be willing to part with them for a reasonable price. :)
