Some friends were kind enough to assemble – and paint – a LOT of Preiser figures for me: picture (they're in clay to protect them during transport)

The detail on them (both in their kit form and added) is extreme: as can be seen here: picture and the two here: picture

And then, there are the four Zundapp motorcycles which will make up my recon element: picture Each of those little things is a 40-piece model kit of its own!

Now I just need to work up the enthusiasm to base all of these in a manner worthy of the effort put into them. I know, whine, whine, whine.

Did you get my e-mails from the 19th regarding organizations for your US and Soviets?

Yes I did, Allen.

Thank you very much. I'm sorry that I forgot to reply. Those guys are going to get based first (as practice). I'm thinking of trying to do it in such a way that when they're on display, it makes a little diorama.

At least you don't have to rebase them! Basing is boring as hell, but rebasing is torture.

It can be done; here's an example of basing troops with wall sections on the bases, so that when they're put together as a group, it looks like a ruined building, with the walls aligned:

Great figs – I have some friends that are this kind as well

What scale are those?

The Preiser figures and motorcycles, along with the RSO/1 by Roco are 1/87 or 18.5mm.
