From a shop I mean – not online. Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance

Games Workshop always has static grass. I'm sure that there must be one store in London.

Try hobbycraft.co.uk or any model railway store should do.

The Ian Allen bookshop behind Waterloo station should do the job; lots of model railway supplies there so you should find yourself some static grass. Could try Modelzone on Holborn, too.

In central London:

4D Models, close to Tower Bridge will definitely have some. I can't remember the address but you can find them on Google.

MZ Models in Holborn might have some, again the address can be Googled.

The Ian Allen Bookshop by Waterloo station does not, well at least when I was there a week or so ago, stock static grass. Which is a shame as it seems to stock all other sorts of scenics.

I've not been in the Ian Allen shop for about a month, so Ezza's info is more up to date than mine. Sorry!

So grass in London isn't normally static?

"That lawn from three blocks back? The one you said wasn't well mown?" "Yeah?" "It's following us."

Get the right kind of grass in London and you'd be well static, so you would. "Numb from the scalp down", I believe I heard a chap say once.

4D is very good but it's not particularly cheap

If your on the East side of London try `the engine shed' in leytonstone high road. (Google will tell you where it is).

Great little (independent) model railway shop. Always has plenty of scenics and other useful materials like plasticard, plastic rod, brass rod milliput and acrylic paints. Every time I go in there for a pot of paint I seem to come out with trees, flock & all sorts of other useful stuff.
