Hi all

Planning a trip to Melbourne in August or September and wondering what cons or gaming events are being held in those months. My wife and my sister want to go down for some dressmaking sites and I thought I would try and co ordinate the timing so I could tag along.

BTW, only interested in non-GW non-FOW events.

Hi
There is a Fast Play Grande Armee mega game on 30 Aug.
I'll chase down details for you if you're interested.

I haven't seen any events being advertised, but maybe some of the clubs might have something on.

I can recommend some shops of your own to visit, or even some good places for a counter meal though.

The League of Ancients meet once a month, just south of the CBD. Usually it's the third Sunday of each month. Their forum is here – link – it's often used to coordinate specific games ahead of time.

Upcoming dates of interest:
15 August – First Day Ancient Doubles Tournament

16 August – Second Day Ancient Doubles Tournament, normal monthly League Meeting

20 September – normal monthly League Meeting
