as far as I know Pendraken will be making cavalry for this range, there is already the one code below

AWB33 British 16th Light dragoons in helmet, contains 15 cavalry figures £3.00 GBP per pack

you should email Pendraken and ask Dave, he's very helpful.

cheers seems the way forward

The Warstore in America does not carry the complete Pendraken line-including their AWI cavalry and other AWI figures, some ACW, none of the ECW.

I just order direct from David Penguilley at Pendraken. It is still cheaper to buy directly from England in US dollars, even with postage costs-at least for the moment. Although you do need to order more than 15 pounds ($24)worth of miniatures to get the cheaper postal rate. Paypal makes it easy to pay pounds with a US credit card. Your order does take longer to arrive, 2-3 weeks, but no big deal if you plan ahead.

My orders direct from Pendraken in England have always gone well and the complete Pendraken line is available.

If I need Pendraken figures quickly and the Warstore carries the figures, I will order from the Warstore. They are very fast and good communication.

The Pendraken AWI sculpter, Clibinarium, hangs out here so you might get a comment on him about either size or release schedules. The Old Glory and Pendraken cavalry are close in size for most ranges, and Clib has mentioned that his AWIs are a bit bigger than most of the Pendraken ranges so the Old Glorys might not match.

I like most of the Old Glory 10mm cavalry and use it with all my other 10mm figures, BUT Clib's AWI figures are the best I've ever seen in 10mm so, myself, I'd wait for the matching cavalry.

I don't want to hurt Neil's or Dave Pengilly's sales, but Caliver Books sells Pendraken figures at the UK price and has free shipping worldwide for orders over 16.5 pounds (about $25).

Hi,

As has been said there is one pack of cavalry available at the moment from Pendraken. On the workbench presently is quite a lot of infantry, some new packs like more artillerymen and the Rhode Island regiment, but mostly stuff to tidy up the existing range by filling out command packs. After that I'll concentrate on the cavalry and it will be comprehensive coverage.
The AWI is a small war in a way, but to cover it well is a massive undertaking, which had I known where it would go I might not have started! It will be completed though. If you look at the perries they've been doing their range for years! My range won't be as big or take as long, but its show how much work can be involved.

Can't comment on whether they fit with OG, as I don't have any of their figures.

thanks, can I assume that the legions will b covered?

Can you be more specific?

Atomic Floozy28 Jul 2009 10:42 a.m. PST

He is probably referring to the various "legions" that were composed of a mixture of infantry & horse & occasionally a gun or 2: Armand's Legion, Pulaski's Legion, Lee's Legion, British (Tarleton's) Legion, Queen's Rangers, etc.

clibinarium31 Jul 2009 2:11 p.m. PST

Sorry for the late reply, I've been off-line a few days.

As for legions, I'll probably do most, but not all of them. Queens rangers are half done and already available, British Legion cavalry will soon be done (not sure if the infantry need a specific pack?), Lee's legion most likely. The others will be judged on how active a part they played in the war. At the moment I am prioritising more significant troop types.

Any idea when the Hessian Grenadier Command and the Generals for both sides will be released please?

clibinarium10 Aug 2009 5:54 a.m. PST

Sorry I missed this Brett, Hessian commands are nearly done, I'll post pics here when they are.
Generals; not for a couple of months yet.

Brett181510 Aug 2009 11:08 a.m. PST

Excellent! I'm holding off my order for Hessians until they are released.

I have pre-ordered some Jagers and the von Rall Grenadier Regt for collection at Colours next month. Can't wait!

Thanks for the update and I look forward to future releases. Mind you, there can't be that much more left for you do to do surely?

Regards

Brett
