I have a paper Brandenburg gate which is pretty good, but the quadriga on top is just too two-dimensional. The rest of the gate works well, but I think I really need to scratchbuild a replacement. I'd prefer plastic due to the weight and ease of making modifications, not to mention cost, but would be willing to use metal if there is a really good chariot.

And if you're wondering what it looks like in reality, here's a good picture: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadriga

What scale is the model? Atlantic did a Roman 4 horse chariot in one of it's plastic 1/72nd scale kits.

The scale is around 1/150, but since the Quadriga is bigger than life-sized, it should be bigger too. The paper one is around 1/72 scale, but anything close will do.

Plastic 1/72 quadrigae with unarmoured horses:
Airfix Romans – rather basic chariot:

Lucky Toys – with Big Bird:

Atlantic/Nexus – nice horses, but funny shaped chariot:

Italeri Gladiators – perhaps the most suitable:

You're right, I really like the Italieri Gladiator chariot.

Now can anyone give me help with a figure to represent the 'Goddess of Victory'?
