Horses and some running figures often come with tabs connecting limbs off the ground to the base. Do you cut them off or leave them to avoid any possible sagging ?

Sure do, in fact i sometimes cut the offensive bit off of most figures & drill a hole in their feet for a brass wire which connects them to the base.

I may leave them & try to disguise them as a bush if the figure needs the support.

I cut off and replace with clear tubing
