Hello!

Just advertising a new variation on the Lightning War / Red Storm modern rules called "By Fire and Movement". BFAM has been written to allow players to act as corps commanders where the smallest ground unit is a battalion. Troop quality, air support, heliborne assaults, artillery, firefights, engineers… it's all there – and absolutely free.

I personally use 3mm models mounted on MDF squares 30mm square so I can make nice little dioramas for each of my units. Ground scale is variable: I use 15mm = 1km and on my very modest dining table can easily accommodate the front end of 1 (BR) Corps TAOR in the 1980s. On a "proper" 6' x 8' table you could fit in the Suez Canal area of ops and big chunks of Egypt and Sinai either side of it to rerun Yom Kippur.

The rules are available in Beta form (50 pages' worth with a detailed QRS – they may be Beta, but they are complete!) on groups.yahoo.com/group/lwrs .
Join the group, download the rules, play games and give us feedback on how you get on.

Good gaming!

Does anyone have a copy of the PDF of these rules?
