Impressive work. I particularly like the bronze armor effect.

Definitely very nice work. Your work reminds me that I will have to get around to building a Carthaginian army sooner or later. They do look good.

Really nice – are you going to terrain the bases ? I think they'd look even better if at least flocked. But, great painting !

Great pics! Show us more! I echo the comment about the bronze armor!

Love the painting, not keen on the figures. Why can't we have infantry with shields to thir front in 1/72? Some sets manage it but most have the shields off to one side. I know there are moulding issues but as I've said, some overcome it, Zvezda hoplites for instance link Just stops me buying them as I can't have a nice line of shields.

Agree with both the last points – great painting, but disappointing poses. Would much prefer separate shields, for more realistic poses and potential for conversion, as HaT managed successfully with their EIR Romans. As has been said before, anyone unable to cope with this minimal assembly probably needs supervision anyway to stop him chewing and swallowing the figs.
Another point is that the large shields are incompatible with two-handed use of spear.

Pedantic? Moi?? Well, it all depends on what you mean by 'pedantic'…

I agree with the problem of poses. Zvezda's Carthaginians are posed much better. You can see them here. link

But the economics of making figures in plastic are lost to me, especially when it comes to deciding which poses are mouldable. Any takers?
