Does anyone know if someone manufactures the Pz.1 in pewter or lead? In 1/56th scale.

Thanks,
Pat

Hey Pat:

I just saw this yesterday:

And they have them here on their site also:

I am a 1/48th man myself but these models look pretty nice, hope that helps.

My thanks for the info. I was looking into this for a friend of mine who doesn't want to work with resin so it will have to be the one that was sculpted by Anglian.

Which does look damn sharp.

I usually work with 1/50th and 1/48th myself but we went with 1/56th due to the amount of vehicles for the SCW in that scale.
Thanks again,
Pat

Excuse my curiosity, Patrick, but why doesn't your friend want to work with resin? [BTW, I do the casting for AGNM but don't own a share of the company.]

Fair question.

He doesn't like working with the air bubbles that sometimes show up.

I can't speak for Patrick's friend, but I have a pal who is actually allergic to resin.

FoA & AGN castings are bubble free in my experience.

I know they are and I have quite a few resin vehicles. However, this was for someone who has had some bad experiences so he asked me to look around for a non-resin one.
In fact, I have a AGN Pz.1 that I will be painting in Carlist colors for a friend and I will be buying some FoA trucks through Great Hall.
My gripe with AGN vehicles and some others is the fact that the base is sculpted to the vehicle and I don't like that at all. But the actual vehicles are superb.
Thanks,
Pat

Hello Pat and Warlord since you prefer 1/48,1/50 like myself,I would like to visit wargames48.blogspot.com
And also tell me your opinion on basing:pegs or bases?

FoA, AGN, JTFM, Company B, Brigade & BAM (in my experience) are all free of air bubbles.

Like I said,I haven't had a problem with a resin casting from a reputable company in years. And I have items from all the companies listed and more.

In 1/56 ebobminiatures.com has the best Opel blitz ever!I am not a 28mm collector but they look really good.

The FOA one I've got is excellent – all I've got to do is assemble it!
The Anglian one's a beauty as well.

Thank you for the compliments, Patrick. And sorry that most of our models are only sold as based versions, as it makes for easier and better-quality production on our end.

AGNM produces the ebob Opel Blitz under licence in resin and metal, Lusitanus. (With a resin base or unbased with metal tires.) So I guess, Patrick's friend won't care for it. 8^)
