I saw this had been talked about in some earlier posts but never found a definitive answer anywhere, even at Matakishis' House (unless I missed them!).

Thanks for any input!

I can't remember if I made any specific notes, but a couple of years ago I played Zulu PitS (PitZ?) and don't remember any problems at all. I believe I just adjusted the terrain choices a bit, and rated Zulus as different sorts of spear units (depending on if they were from senior, normal, or young regiments and so on), and gave an option for a single (very poor) rifle armed unit. For the Brit's I used regular Redcoat infantry with Boer mounted scouts. I remember we used Naval Infantry with NNC foot scouts for one game, with a Gatling Gun, which was also great fun.

I'm a fan of TSATF, but PitS provides a very different and very enjoyable playing experience.

But the red and green paper … what's up with that? ;)

I think that they make the pages those bizarre colors to prevent (or at least discourage) xerox copies of the rules from being made and passed on to others.

I'm sure that's why they do it, unfortunately the red pages are very difficult to read for people like me who are red/green colour blind.

PITS! this is another game that i do thoroughly enjoy playing! had not thought about using it for ZULU WARS, but, now i will have to give it a try.
