Hi Chaps,

I am running another large open participation wargame at Bighton town Hall near Alresford in Hampshire. The game will be a 28mm AWI affair with my large collection of awi troops. Probably Monmouth but it may even be a what if affair!! Please see my website… link
for pictures from my last game. Anyone who wishes to attend can call me on 07818 616189 or respond to this post or indeed email me on Greenryth@gmail.com.

Anyone welcome but there will be a numbers cap. Four players are currently confirmed. We are also next door to the Three Horseshoes pub for those who like real ale and good food. We spend quite a lot of time in there actually…

Would be nice to have you along again Supercilius…

Wish I could make it, we were married at St. John the Baptist, New Alresford, A few decades ago.

Unfortunately I sit here in central California…

Enjoy yourselves. guinness

I'll be on holiday, but I've forwarded your message to the rest of "Wessex Wargamers Winchester". As you can tell from the name we're a local club and have at least one member living in Alresford. Hopefully some of the guys will be interested and available.

>>>I quite fancy central California<<<

I don't know, in the 100s for the last week or so and if it weren't for the irrigation system here in the central valley we'd pretty much living on a parched savanna this time of year.

It was a misty May in Hants when we were there in 1978, sounds pretty good on this end at the moment. wink

How did it go, guys?

Greenryth28 Jul 2009 9:19 a.m. PST

Not as well as expected I am afraid Supercilius. We were actually double booked so I am having to reschedule. Instead we played a rather good one off 1781'ishwhat if battle last weekend which saw the forces of the crown give the yanks a good hidin' (for a change).

I will keep you updated as middle of August is looking ok at the moment.

G,

Sorry to hear that. I'm around all summer, so I'd be interested in hearing where and when.

Not yet Supercillius. The hall has been booked up. I am thinking of organising something for September now.

OK. I'll keep an eye out.
