Does anyone have current contact details for this club? Their website is giving 'link broken', & the contact e-mail gets 'message failed'. Cheers, gents. |

Shame
. often been invited to drop in, and always meant to, and when I finally get round to doing something about it, it's too late. CLWC does look nice though – I'll give them a call. Thanks, Mark. |

Club is still going, every Saturday. Drop me an email at andy at belisarius dot org dot uk and I'll pass on more details. I'm in the process of putting together a new website for the club once I've chatted with a few more of the members for ideas. Cheers Andy |

As I type, I know of 4 clubs in Tyneside :- Comtemptible Little Wargames Club in North Shields Tyneside Wargames Club in Newcastle Shot and Shell Wargames Club in South Shields Washington Wargames Club in Washington The Tynesiders can be seen at various wargames shows putting on good display games – Pete Fogden (A Tyneside Grognard) makes great figures too! The Washington guys are too insular and pathetic to bother with – if you're into arguements over rules, then this is the club for you! According to the club chairman, Shot and Shell is a "flourishing club with over 60 members on its books and playing any game anyone wishes to play". As for the Comtemptibles, I was told earlier this year that they were closing down and thinking of migrating to Shot and Shell. |

I must say, as a long time member, I don't recognise the description of the Washington Club. If you are interested come along and make your own mind up. |

'The Tynesiders can be seen at various wargames shows putting on good display games – Pete Fogden (A Tyneside Grognard) makes great figures too!' His name is Pete Foggin and he is a very nice lad indeed. Just in case you go don't want people thinking you have a speech impediment. Though if you do! Nothing wrong with that. |

Sorry for the delay in responding -lost track of thread. Pete Foggin – will remember his actual name for the future. As for Washington: I've attended this club twice. My first visit to check out the club, was okay, and the 3 adults and 5 youngsters allowed me to play a game with them. They told me to come back the following week to see 'adult' gaming. I did and witnessed one club member (who turned out to be a member of the committee!) accuse a 13 year old of cheating and swore at him several times during the accusation. I walked out at this point. Not the club for me or my kids! |
