Hello all i know this topic has been up before in one form or another, but just got some perry 28mm plastic and liked the rules that came with them, but need to ask these questions.. 1. Seeking D6 Rules 2. Scale : 28mm, figures on own one to one bases 3. Nice looking rulebook with pictures etc 4. Solo play ? Extras 1. Some campaign rules for keeping units alive, maybe ongoing battles etc.. I have been looking at Perry Firepower rules and Victrix March of eagles and may mix the best of both rule sets, for my own pleasure. After watching gods and gen`s and Gets films this week, maybe i should write my own, not sure of the title.. " Bullets and beards " or Hair and honour " Since the beards and face hair was crazy in both of those films..!! :-) I was thinking of making the bases also stick say 4 to a extra stand for easy movement, and other rule sets too, best of both worlds
Thanks for reading Ps.. i`m based in Uk, so any places in the uk to buy Thanks Alan-Norfolk |

Brother versus Brother is a great set with many of the features you like – not sure about where to get in UK |

"2. Scale : 28mm, figures on own one to one bases" Rules are not figure scale specific. However, if you have one figure per base, then I guess you are looking at skirmish level rules? |

Not quite what you're looking for, perhaps, but Guns at Gettysburg. |

Have a look at 'These Fields of Blood', link Fits most of your requirements. On basing it is not important that figures are group based but that they behave like group based. The rules are also well suited for solo play as they include a command system and personalities for leaders at all levels as options which makes things rather interesting. The unique card activation system also makes it great for solo play. Have a look at link and check the downloads of samples etc. Regards, G of TFP Games. |

Guns of Gettysburg won't work. The units are too big for single basing. They are my favorite, though. |

Thanks all i have a copy of brother to brother coming to read, and yes you right about figures basing, 6 28mm figures on 20mmx20mm bases can still be 6x100 men etc.. Also i have started to put ideas down for my own " Bullets and beards " Rules based about D6 ideas of perry and victrix rules and my own ideas looking at films etc.. I`m looking forward to it infact

"Guns of Gettysburg won't work. The units are too big for single basing. They are my favorite, though." Odd
I use them with single based figures
