Haven't seen much written about this rule set for at least 2-3 years. Is anyone playing it and how are the rules. I like 1:1 tank and section or platoon infantry. But is this game too detailed and it bogs down? |

Detailed, but not overly rules intensive. Far easier to play than the size of the rulebook would lead one to believe; the mechanics are pretty intuitive once you have a couple of games under your belt. Rules are 1:1 for tanks/vehicles/guns, sections for MG/mortar, squads and sections for infantry; 1" = 50 meters. There is a point system for "buying" your force as well. We still play pretty regularly (mainly East Front), and battalion/reinforced company game can be wrapped up nicely in 2-3 hours. Larger games can be a bit slow if you're using a lot of infantry, but tanks-only games can run pretty fast. I'd say it has about as much detail as FoW when you add all of the army special rules (which PMR doesn't do), but it's IMO a more entertaining, engrossing game and encourages using period-accurate tactics. |

Since they don't have N.Africa supplement, does that mean the charts for tanks during that period are not there? |

There are currently no Italian nor early UK vehicles in the system; that particular supplement may be out later this year. All of the German vehicles are available in either the basic set, Pak 1 and/or Pak 2. |
