Roundway of the UK makes some nice simple figures, pretty close to true 15mm. RF42 (marching) and RF43 (firing). I have some and they fit nicely in with my MF 1 and 2d figures. Best way to get them is through Spirit Games in the UK. Kevin in Albuquerque |

Dave Jackson, when he had his small range of 15mm naps, had some absolutely superb dismounted dragoons. I hope he gets them back into production; I felt they were right up there with AB and Eureka's larger 15mm (18mm) ranges. I wish I had a few hundred, instead of the five or six samples he kindly sent me. The 2nd gen minifigs are nice, in the truer 15mm size (I have maybe four blisters). I suspect Tom's GFI minifigs are the re-worked 3rd gen: he offers two types – listed under French Infantry – 15010013 NAP: FR Dismounted Dragoons Firing & 15010012 NAP: FR Dismounted Dragoons Advancing. The 2nd gen I have were march-attack (without the swinging right arm). I might have a firing blister, but I think I lost those in an auction. But anyway, if you have larger 15s, then trying to coax Dave into re-releasing his dismounted dragoons would be great. |

True North used to make these – I have some. I think that the company no longer exists. They are good scuplts that are chunkier than AB but fit in quite well. The arms for the marching Dragoons are swinging out though, unlike the French Nap drill. I though about working on the helmets and doing a battalion of early Legion du Midi. |

I got a couple example figures from Dave Jackson, very, very nice. Corresponded with him for a short time via e-mail and he had been talking about getting access to larger quantities. I'd definitely buy some from him but then he dropped off the earth and never heard back to my further inquiries. Life gets in the way of the best laid plans but if the guy surfaces again I'd definitely be interested, they were nice figures. Essentially in skirmishing / advancing poses with packs and all. Looked great! Cheers, The Bandit |
