OK, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me how well Victrix plastics scale up against Dixon and/or Foundry (and how well the latter two scale against each other.)

That would be the problem with not having a FLGS carrying Nappies, you can't see the size difference until they arrive in your mailbox…

Thanks in advance.

Add in the Eureka 28mm Revolutionary French as well since I'm starting to build an army of around 1805 and have no FLGS within 100km and that one does not do mail order.

Foundry are appreciably smaller than Victrix. I've worked a few spare figures into my Victrix units, and I wish I HADN'T put a British flank company man into a Grenadier company – no-one that small would qualify! A couple of ensigns look ok, if I assume they are teenagers.

British – There's no noticable difference. Victrix and Foundry go great together.

French – The French heads are enormous, more similar to Front Rank – so it's like mixing Front Rank and Foundry. Some people are cool with this, others don't like it.

Foundry French are also smaller than Perry, even though they're sculpted by the same guy(s). That's kind of irritating, but they're good figures.

Lord Bluebottle,

Please remember that the Terrible Twins (aka the Perry Bros) adjusted their sculpting style with the start of Perry Miniatures, to make the figures more anotomically correct. I think all with agree the new figs are superb. However, that is why the heads and bodies look different between Foundry and Perry. Hence, the Perry minis don't exactly fit in with the Foundry, which are smaller and heavier. We aren't talking Essex Minis (which I also still have quite a few) here but they do look different. That said, the Foundry figs still look great on their own in massed units. I have loads of them…as do many people.

I think one should just buy loads of them all, Perry, Victrix, etc. The more the merrier!
