Seriously.
The 6mm one in today's news got me wondering.
Speilberg loves to put pianos out in the street. He did it in Private Ryan and in Schindler's List. I don't remember one in Jaws, but I would not be surprised to hear that there was one in Empire of the Sun.

So, it occurs to me that now that my FoW "armies" are Yanks and possibly the Herman Goering Division, that I need a piano to put out in the street.
It's symbolic as hell, I know.

I will make a guess that it would go on a small base, and that it would be a Reluctant Conscript, much like the boys and elderly men in Volksgrenadier units.

Who makes 15mm upright pianos? I hear that someone makes grandfather clocks too.

Ahah!
Thank you. I will add it to my minions' shopping list for Historicon.

Not sure, but the 6mm one should be able to carry a number of the smaller ones, assuming you properly hollow it out.

You can get a piano factory: link

But, you can get an upright (in HO) for $5.98 USD here: btsrr.com/btson01.htm (8th item on the page)

Leaving pianos all over the streets is so sloppy.

I would rather have a few enterprising GIs liberating it and mounting it on the back of a truck (M3 half-track probably would not have enough space). Add in a few buglers and other horns and you will almost have a venerable jazz bands on wheels to accompany your advance.

Great for psy-ops too, if you add some loud-speakers – jazz-music was supposedly outlawed in WWII Germany, so the Jerries would be taken totally by a surprise when the enemy starts blasting boogie at full volume from the other side of the hill!

You have me intrigued, Griefbringer. If we are truly in a Golden Age, then who makes a 15mm GI jazz band?
Old Glory makes the open backed trucks.

Battlescape in Australia had a range of 15mm furniture for WW2, mostly for blitzed houses, so ruined beds, books shelves and bath tubs. In that range I believe was the very piano you're looking for.

Their site is down as they just changed owners, and I suspect they were sourcing the gear from outside of Australia, who I wouldn't know sorry.
