Could anyone recommend any APC type vehicles that would look cool in a Post Apocalyptic miniatures game? I like the wheeled (& multi-wheeled) one above the tracked ones. Link would be appreciated but, given the proper name, it could be hunted down. I always do my vehicles 1/43 scale only. Thanks!!!! |

Ramshackle Games, out of England. They do "vehicle parts" that can be tacked together in a variety of ways, are nice and large, and *very* Post-Apoc. |

"If you want paper models try" – I don't mind cardstock buildings because I mostly back them with foamcore to make them sturdy
but cardstock vehicles would be too frail. CorpCommander, that Scotia Grendel ATAC looks pretty sharp! |

It would be really cool if you could get some Cadillac Gage (or whoever is making them now) V series (100, 150, 300, etc) APC's. Multi wheeled, multi use, turret/ non turret. Overall very versatile vehicle (or so I have been told – I've never used one, just seen 'em up close a few times). Between this and the landmaster, that's all they used for The Morrow Project RPG, which was post-TEOTWAWKI and hard scifi game. |

Depends on when your post-apocalypse takes place? 1940s,50s, 2000s or even 1800s. Just take a model from the time period and road warrior it up. Could even do up an armored wagon for those pre-combustion engine apocalypses. Brian |

We in Australia have been doing this for year for real. Just look at the M113 with a Scorpion turret on it. Another useful type would be the Bundeswher Transportpanzer which has a real Damnation Alley look to it. |

"Depends on when your post-apocalypse takes place?" – Tomorrow ;-) "It would be really cool if you could get some Cadillac Gage (or whoever is making them now) V series (100, 150, 300, etc) APC's." – I really, Really, REALLY want a Commando v100 or v150!! Just because I have a player who wants to run a "Morrow Project" Recon team in our PA games. "Bundeswher Transportpanzer" – picture – Very nice! "I guess Dead Reckoning was made up?" – LOL! I forgot all about that one. Do they have it in 1/43 scale? |

From a realisitc view point – anything wheeled would do, as I suspect tracks might be a tad difficult to maintain in the post apoc world. Even an old bus or truck with plates added would make a APC in a post apoc setting. I have a few Post Apocalyptic APC's in my collection. I hope these pics inspire you. picture picture picture picture This is a Ramshackle Badger – that I half tracked. I had to extent the cab to make the tracks fit. picture picture This is a 1:50 fastlane converted garbage truck for my Garbage faction. picture picture picture A converted LAV APC. picture picture A 1/48 Tamyia Hetzer converted into a Sci-Fi APC. |

There are some die-cast models of the French VAB APC in 1:43 and 1:50 kicking around, although I think all are OOP at the moment. I use them for my Imperial Guard unit. auction auction They tend to go for $20 USD or so on eBay. (I bought most of mine when the Squadron shop was having a clearance on them – wish I had bought more of them!). |
