Anyone used it for SYW? I was wondering how well Croats and Hungarians would fit into the rule set?

It is entirely adaptable to such an endeavour. You'd need to come up with your own special bonus cards and rules for the nations/units but really, that's part of the fun.

We actually started Sharp Practice in the AWI era as our first SP effort…works perfectly well…imagine any small unit action and set into just about any horse and musket era game..ie., escort/liberate a supply wagon…rescue a gun stuck in the mud…searching a farmhouse…etc…

And don't forget to enter any SYW scenario you come up with into the Sharp Practice Scenario Competition, as this contest is specifically for 'any period' (not just Napoleonic) and one of the judging criteria is originality:

While the prize of a pair of limited edition painted Sharpe and Harper figures might not be much use to a SYW gamer, the 20 pound Lardies gift voucher will be!
